This painting of my son and my dogs emerged out of a strange mood. I had listened to a song by New Order called Blue Monday and imagined waking up one morning feeling blue and finding my surroundings in the matching colour palette. While painting this picture i think i discovered pretty much every existing blue which was quite an education. Oh yes, and the dog lying on the floor is Dash, one of the dogs in the painting.
